History
The program, which typically begins in the summer semester, consists of studio projects, workshops led by visiting artists and designers, round table discussions, and courses in history and design theory. San Jose State University is accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The Art BA/Graphic Design/Visual Communication Program requires 120 units, with 57 units in the major.
